Hemo Diagnostics in Milan for the National Congress of Surgery radioguided
On Decmber 1st and 2nd 2016 in Milan, will take place the RSG, Radio-guided surgery national congress.
Hemo Diagnostica will participate with Intraoperative probes – wireless WProbe by Oncovision, through a solution based on a wireless probe and on an Oncovision Tablet.
The concept of Radio-guided surgery dates back to 1949 when, in order to identify the radiations, they used the so called Geiger-Müller detector .Today in 2016 the concept of Radio-guided surgery has changed since it has been expanded to different uses. Currently ,considering the constant and continuous technological innovation, the equipment used are more sophisticated and thanks to the hybrid imaging (SPET/TC, PET/TC, PET/RM) and to the new Intraoperative probes, the information provided to the oncological surgeon in order to improve the intraoperative localization techniques are increasing and even more sophisticated.
The technological innovation, aside from being of interest for the equipments also addresses to the use of new radiopharmaceuticals and to hybrid drugs.
The purpose is to improve the imaging and to change the strategies of the surgery.
